8 Dec 1949 registered airmail cover with printed Thos. Cook & Son logo franked one 20m King Farouk and one 50m King Farouk Citadel from the Thomas Cook Cairo office with its scarce rectangular registration cachet (Cairo Cook's Office) and a red wax seal on reverse. The last seen similar cancellation was in 1947 (Peter Smith).

At a later time on the same day, cover was cancelled Cairo registeration then two days later at Aeroport Farouk and finally cancelled at the destination Mombasa Kenya.
